The Pigman

I read this book when I was young, and recently gave it to my son as a gift. The book is a simple pleasure, and a quick read. I love the directness of the story, and the finding of friends no matter the age, or situation.

There are quizzes and insights into the oddness of transition from teen to adult. I enjoyed reading it again, but think my son will find it a little dated.

Oh wow, Girlzoot. I had completely forgotten about The Pigman. When I was a kidlet it was one of my favorite books. Now that I’m suddenly spending so much of my time reading children’s lit again (hazard of hanging out with a 10 year old) I’m going to have to get myself a copy of that again.

Thank you for reminding me of this book. It’s like finding an old friend.

Now if I can just find a copy of “Z for Zachariah” I could complete my Middle School bookshelf!!! 🙂

Glad to help, see I told you having a kid would come in handy one day.
